Østergade 15 offers a prominent retail opportunity with a facade extending more than 25 metres and comprising three adjoining units currently occupied by Bucherer, the Danish watchmaker Hvelplund, and Swatch, creating a strong and coherent luxury frontage.
The premises were occupied by Hugo Boss for more than two decades before being vacated and later taken over by Bucherer on a temporary two-year lease during the renovation of their flagship store opposite. As the refurbishment is nearing completion, Bucherer is expec ted to relocate, making the property available for a new long-term tenant.
The lease comprises more than 750 m² arranged over three floors, featuring two large shop windows, a central double-door entrance and classic interior details including high wall panelling, ornamental ceiling mouldings and solid oak flooring.
Østergade forms the eastern stretch of Strøget and has for centuries been one of Copenhagen’s most prestigious commercial addresses. Historically linking Kongens Nytorv with the inner city, the street has long been synonymous with high-end retail and refined urban cul ture. During the late 19th and 20th centuries, Østergade developed into a prime shopping destination, defined by elegant architecture and a strong presence of leading Danish and international brands.
Following the pedestrianisation of Strøget, Østergade firmly established itself as the luxury anchor of Copenhagen’s main shopping artery and is today widely recognised as Strøget’s premium stretch. The street is divided into an eastern and western section by Kristen Bernikows Gade, known as “Magasin Square”. The western part is anchored by Illum, featuring brands such as Gucci,Moncler, Prada and Saint Laurent, while the eastern part is anchored by Magasin du Nord and complemented by leading international luxury brands including Ralph Lauren, Cartier, Tudor, Max Mara and Mulberry.
